First, I hope that you, your family and your company’s collaborators are in good health.
It is clear that the challenge we face with COVID-19 is unprecedented and of unprecedented dimensions. We have to take into account the magnitude of the problem we face when making decisions. The recipes that have made us successful so far will not necessarily make us successful this time.
The agility with which we react in our personal and business life is key.
Now that we are facing this extraordinary situation (most of us working from home) we realize that from one day to the next, our life changed drastically and so did the way we operate in our companies. Not all people, not all companies can operate from home, many critical and essential jobs have and will continue to have to be done in specific work centers.
At Axity, we technologically enable customers who stay at home and others who continue to operate essential services or activities away from home. We are focused on ensuring that telecommunications and IT systems continue to function and operate without interruption in this new environment.
Additionally, we are preparing a series of mobile applications and technology solutions that will hopefully contribute to helping society, health services and governments in the countries where we operate. I will share some of them with you:
- APP “SENSOR COVID-19”: We are developing an application that when downloaded to cell phones with bluetooth, allows secure and confidential tracking of people (other cell phones) that were found 2 meters away during the last 21 days with that person … in case any of those who have installed the application is positive for covid-19, you can send the information to the corresponding health organization or potential users to alert them of this potentially contagious approach and put in special quarantine to that group of people or to follow up on possible infected. Our goal is to bring this App to the authorities of the countries where we operate very soon. We expect to have it ready by April 15.
- COVID-19 INFORMATIVE CHAT VIA WHATSAPP: A “unique and reliable” information center based on WhatsApp to help avoid “fake news” and disinformation.
- CHAT HELP 3,000: We will turn Axity’s 3,500+ employees into members of a “big help desk” to answer technical questions from our customers and their users during the remote work stage. This tool will use a chatbot that will work through WhatsApp and Axity’s website. We will inform you as soon as it is ready.
Finally, I offer you the contents of this report that we have prepared with the aim of contributing to solve some of the common problems that companies will have as a result of the situation we are living. Technology can be a great enabler to solve some problems we will face. We have prepared this portfolio of products and services with these complicated times in mind, confident that we can help you solve them.
